A New Year
I have been working on various new ideas over the last few months that will be taking me into 2010 with a new direction. Did some interesting work in 2009 on retro 80's style tracks but I feel that its time to look forward to pushing envelopes rather than trying to re-invent the wheel, perhaps its the fact that people of a certain age prefer to reminisce rather than look to the future is why there is not enough new music for our age group. I mean how many "best of " albums can you buy.

New project with Urban Deep, I am really looking forward to working with these very talented guys.We will be working on some tracks in the new year which will be ready early spring with some great guest artists to add there vocal and musical talents, and some original tunes that you probably will never heard the like of before. | Finally put together an Album called "Where Angels Fear" last year.. Of course as always I'm not really happy with everything on it, but to be honest I just got to the point where I had to just put it down and say "thats it its finished.." but I'll probably remix it later this year if I get time...  | YCB the rebirth of an Underground Ledgend Jazz funk band YCB is stirring into action and 2010 is looking like been the year they finally put there heads above the parapet and get back in the studio. After meetings with band members there is a new enthusiasm to get back out there with their particular blend of jazz funk fusion. Watch this space cos Britfunk will be back in 2010 with a new and improved sound. The renewed interest in Jazz Funk in the UK has been building momentum during 2009 and is calling out for something new from the guys who know how to funk.. |
Retrofunk Retrofunk was really a bit of fun.. I had this mad idea to do a version of Almost There by Level 42, and it was quite popular with the 42 crowd, so I did a couple more. But I think that was enough. I don't want to upset anyone, they were a sort of DIY remix as I didn't have the original stems. I have moved on now so .... don't ask!.. :o) |
